The Hotel La Miniera is situated in an ancient village of the 1800, surrounded by some thick woods of beeches, oaks and holm-oaks and marvelous Tuscan hills of corn and barley. Its name originates from the most important copper mine in Europe in the 1800, that it's already possible to visit with some expert tourist-guides everyday. It is a place really amazing particularly for those persons who love simplicity and original spaces.
Hotel La Miniera offers the possibility of hiking or biking along the gorgeous paths all around Montecatini, relishing the quiet of the nature or relaxing in a beautiful swimming pool, situated in a natural glade of oaks and pines. From this wonderful place you can reach the most important cultural centers, as Pisa, Florence, Lucca and Siena in about one hour, and moreover Volterra (20 min.) and the seaside (30 min.), so as Bolgheri.
The rooms and the apartments, all with private bathrooms, have been renovated respecting the original architecture with its typical Tuscan wooden beam ceilings. Breakfast is served in a warm and comfortable dining room of the 1800 with a bar and a TV corner. For religious weddings there's the possibility of the old Church of Santa Barbara. Pozzo Alfredo, a typical and restored part of the old mine, is instead available for civil ceremonies. If interested, we can also help you to plan these marvelous happenings.
